The Marzocchi Junior T

The Junior T (written “Jr. T” in many Marzocchi documents) is a dual-crown fork of the Bomber range. Marzocchi’s 2001 data sheet calls it a “double clamp fork specifically designed for Downhill use”, with coil springs and hydraulic rebound damping. The first exploded drawing in our archive is from 1998; the last parts list is from 2006.

The Junior T was built with 30 mm stanchions up to 2002 and with 32 mm stanchions from 2003. This matters for seals, bushings and stanchions: parts of the two versions do not interchange.

QR, QR20 and TA are axle versions of the same fork, not separate models.

Damping, as Marzocchi describes it

• 2001 Jr. T: coil springs, hydraulic rebound damping; spring preload adjusted from the top, rebound adjuster inside each leg.
• 2006 Junior T: non-adjustable SSV pumping elements in both legs, coil springs with mechanical preload adjustment.
• 2006 Junior T Ext. Reb. Adjustment: SSV pumping element with external rebound adjustment in the right leg.

Exploded drawing and parts list

The exploded drawing and the parts list on this page belong to the 2005 Junior T. The 30 mm versions (1998–2002) and the other years have their own drawings and parts lists in the factory documents below and on Forks documentation.

Service notes

• The 2001 Jr. T data sheet gives 180 cc of oil per leg, type EBH 16, SAE 7.5.
• The 2006 Junior T technical instructions specify SAE 7.5 oil (Marzocchi 550013), with the quantity per leg in the oil level table, and recommend changing the oil at least every 100 hours.

Which seal kit fits

• 1999–2000 (30 mm): oil seal 528172 with dust seal 533268. This is our Seal Kit 30 mm classic.
• 2002 (30 mm): oil seal 528172, dust seal 533301, kit 850690. This is our Seal Kit 30 mm m-arch.
• 2003–2006 (32 mm): oil seal 528230, dust seal 533297, kit 850768. This is our Seal Kit 32 mm classic.

For 2001 the parts list names oil seal 528172 and dust seal 533301 but no kit number, so we cannot say for certain which of the two 30 mm kits fits. Send us a photo of your dust seal and we will check.
