Marzocchi Bomber Dirt Jumper (DJ1, DJ2, DJ3) dirt jump fork 2002–2009: seal kit, parts list, exploded drawing, manuals and service tips by year.

Dirt Jump 2002–2009 Travel: 80–150 mm 32mm stanchions

The Marzocchi Dirt Jumper

The Dirt Jumper is Marzocchi’s single-crown fork for dirt jumping and slalom. It came in three main levels, Dirt Jumper 1, 2 and 3 (DJ1, DJ2, DJ3), with a DJ 1.5 in 2002 and a DJ 4 in 2007. The model ran beyond 2009; this page covers 2002 to 2009, the years with factory exploded drawings, and parts lists up to 2007.

The 2002 Dirt Jumpers have 30 mm stanchions; from 2003 the Dirt Jumper uses 32 mm stanchions (according to the seal numbers in the parts lists and the 2005 and 2006 technical instructions).

Damping, as Marzocchi describes it

  • 2005 DJ2: coil springs with air preload, SSV pumping element with internal rebound adjustment, non-adjustable SSV element in the other leg; standard drop-outs or 20 mm through-axle.
  • 2006 DJ1: VF2 pumping element with external rebound adjustment, compression adjuster on the other leg, 20 mm through-axle.
  • 2006 DJ2: VF2 pumping element with external rebound adjustment, 20 mm through-axle.
  • 2006 DJ3: VF2 pumping element with internal rebound adjustment, standard drop-outs or 20 mm through-axle.
  • 2008–2009 DJ1 / DJ2: a sealed “R” cartridge that could take in oil and lock; Marzocchi’s fix converts it to open bath (see the tips below).

Exploded drawing and parts list

The exploded drawing and the parts list on this page belong to the 2004 Dirt Jumper 1, 110 mm. Every other year, level and travel has its own drawing and parts list in the factory documents below and on Forks documentation. DJ1, DJ2 and DJ3 of the same year differ in damping parts, so use the drawing of your exact model.

Service notes

The 2005 and 2006 Dirt Jumper technical instructions specify SAE 7.5 oil (Marzocchi 550013), give the quantity per leg in the oil level table and recommend changing the oil at least every 100 hours.

Which seal kit fits

For the 2003 Dirt Jumper 2 the parts list and the seal chart disagree on the 32 mm version (classic or m-arch). Send us a photo of your fork before ordering.
