All-Mountain 2005–2007 Travel: 110–160mm 32mm stanchions

The Marzocchi All Mountain

The All Mountain (AM) family covered Marzocchi’s single-crown trail and all-mountain forks for 2005 to 2007. All AM forks use 32 mm stanchions (see the 2006 note below), with 110 to 160 mm of travel depending on model and year.

All Mountain models by year

From the Marzocchi parts lists and technical instructions in our archive:

YearModelsTravel
2005AM 1 (110–130 or 130–150 TAS), AM 2 (110 / 130 / 150, ETA 150, HSCV ETA 150, SSVF ETA 130), AM 3 (110 / 130 / 150, ETA 150), AM SL (110–130 or 130–150)110–150 mm
2006AM 1 (130 / 150 TAS), AM 1 Remote Control, AM 1+, AM 2 (130+ / 150+, + TAS), AM 3, AM SL (+ Remote Control); TW versions AM 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / SL TW (110 / 130 / 150)110–150 mm
2007AM 1 (140 / 160), AM 2 (140 / 160), AM 3 (140), AM SL 1 (ATA), AM SL 2140–160 mm

In 2007 most models came in a QR and a TA version — these are axle options (quick release or through axle), not separate models. RC and Remote Control are adjuster options of the same fork.

How they work, from Marzocchi’s technical instructions:

  • AM 1 (2005, 2006): air spring right with TST cartridge, coil left with TAS travel adjust.
  • AM 1 / TW (2006): air right with VF2 pumping element, coil left with ETA cartridge.
  • AM 2 ETA (2005): air right with SSV pumping element, coil left with ETA cartridge.
  • AM 3 (2005): air in both legs, non-adjustable SSV pumping elements.
  • AM SL (2005): air in both legs, TST cartridge; travel set by the negative air pressure.

Which seal kit fits my All Mountain?

All AM models take the 32 mm classic kit — Seal Kit – 32mm classic (DZ-SK-32C). The parts lists of the 2005 AM 2 SSVF+ and the 2007 AM 2, AM SL 1 and AM SL 2 name it; the 2007 AM 2 and AM SL 2 and the 2006 AM 4 TW are on the seal chart with the same kit.

One open point: Marzocchi’s 2006 instructions for the AM 2 and the AM SL say “ø 30 mm legs”, while the 2005 and 2007 documents and the 2006 AM 1 say 32 mm. Measure your stanchion before you order if you have a 2006 AM 2 or AM SL.

Oil volumes from Marzocchi documents

SAE 7.5 oil (Marzocchi 550013):

  • 2005 AM 1 (110–130 and 130–150): 40 cc right (TST leg), 175 cc left.
  • 2006 AM 1 / TW (110 / 130): 180 cc right, 140 cc left.
  • 2005 AM SL: 40 cc right, 40 cc left.

Drawing, parts list and manuals

The exploded drawing and the parts list below are for the 2006 AM 1. The documents section holds the technical instructions for every 2005 and 2006 AM model and the 2007 parts lists; all of them are also in the fork documentation library.
